Keury De La Cruz (born November 28, 1991) is a Dominican Republic outfielder who is a free agent. Listed at 5' 11", 170 lb., he bats and throws left handed. De La Cruz was originally signed as an international free agent in the spring of 2009 by the Boston Red Sox and was named an All-Star for two consecutive seasons from 2011–2012.〔 He debuted in 2009 with the Rookie Class DSL Red Sox, and claimed Red Sox Latin Program Player of the Year honors after leading his team in hits (65), doubles (16), runs batted in (50) and extra-bases (27).〔 He then joined the Gulf Coast League Red Sox rookie team in 2010, leading the league in triples (7) and total bases (84), while ranking second in extra-bases (23), third both in home runs (6) and runs scored (35), and fourth both in RBI (31) and slugging percentage (.475).〔 In 2011 he gained a promotion to the Short-Season A Lowell Spinners, where he led the New York–Penn League for the most at-bats (300) while tying for second in triples (6) and third in hits (79). He then was named to the All-Star team.〔 De La Cruz had a breakout season in 2012 for the Low A Greenville Drive, batting a slash line of .308/.352/.536 in 116 games, which included eight triples, 19 home runs and 81 RBI. This time was named both for the South Atlantic League All-Star and post-season All-Star teams, before being promoted to the High A Salem Red Sox in late August. He finished among the five best Red Sox minor leaguers, ranking first in RBI (87), second in slugging (.533), third in homers (20), fourth in batting average (.307), and fifth in OPS (.863). De La Cruz returned to Salem in 2013. He batted a .262/.302/.404 line with a second-best 89 RBI in the Carolina League, being selected to the CL Postseason All-Star Team. He then gained a promotion to the Double A Portland Sea Dogs in 2014. Unfortunately, De La Cruz suffered a wrist injury that caused him two trips to the disabled list.
